You got that right.<BR/><BR/>The nice thing about the crisis-thrashing model is that the politicians can always act like heroes, because, "We've got to do something about this!" Never mind that they caused the problem in the first place and that they are setting everything up for a new crisis down the road a bit.<BR/><BR/>The Bush administration took over Fred and Fan "to avert a financial catastrophe." That makes good press. But it's not reality. The market would have handled an absolute failure far better than would a government takeover.<BR/><BR/>Indeed, the statists are simply working to move as much of the private sector as possible into the public sector.
